Large Pumpkin are about 6.7" to 8.2" Tall and 5.1" to 6.3" Diameter. Small pumpkins are about 2.5" to 3.5" Tall and 2.8" to 4.1" Diameter.
Each style is a different mix of pumpkins. The count stays at seven across all of them, so the choice comes down to which color and shape combination suits the room.
They are intended for indoor use. Foam holds up poorly to rain and prolonged damp, so a covered porch is the furthest outdoors they should go.
That is the main reason to buy artificial rather than real. Stored dry and not crushed under heavier items, the same set comes out again the following fall.
They should be kept away from open flame. Battery-operated candles are the safer choice for an arrangement that includes them.
