There are three settings: 131°F, 149°F, and 167°F. The lowest suits coffee that should stay warm but easy to sip, and the highest suits tea or anyone who likes a hotter drink.
It is made to keep an already hot drink warm. A cold drink warms slowly, so starting with a freshly poured hot drink gives the best result.
Flat-bottomed mugs work best, since the base needs to sit flat on the 3.15 inch heating plate. Ceramic, glass, and metal mugs are all suitable.
It measures 4.41 x 4.41 x 0.79 inches and weighs about 4.9 ounces, which is roughly the size of a coaster.
Unplug it and let it cool fully, then wipe the plate and housing with a dry or slightly damp cloth. It should never be submerged in water.
Unplugging the warmer when it is not holding a drink is recommended.
