No. The insole sits below the collar of the shoe, so nothing shows from the outside on sneakers, boots, or dress shoes.
No. These layer straight on top of whatever insole is already in the shoe. Taking the original out is optional and only worth doing if the fit gets too tight.
A guideline is marked near the toe. Sharp scissors and small cuts work best: trim a little, test the fit in the shoe, then trim again if needed. Cutting too much cannot be undone.
A full length wedge takes up real room, more so at the taller heights. A roomier or slightly loose pair carries these best, and a very snug shoe may feel tight at 3.5 cm.
