It clips onto your car's sun visor. A sprung clip hooks over the top edge and pinches the visor against a flat bar underneath. It also fits around the stem of most rear-view mirrors if you prefer a centered position.
Most slim cases can stay on. Very thick rugged cases, battery cases, and folio wallet cases that fold open may not fit the cradle.
