The housing is iron and aluminum finished with a walnut wood grain pattern. It gives the look and warmth of walnut overhead while staying lighter, more stable, and less expensive than a solid timber fixture.
The LED panel is integrated into the fixture and is not user replaceable. Integrated LED panels of this type are rated for many years of typical household use before output begins to fade.
The dimmable option is designed to work with a compatible wall dimmer, which is sold separately. The white 5000K and warm 3000K versions run on a standard wall switch with no dimmer required.
The 18.5 inch medium at 4800 lumens is the common choice for a standard bedroom or dining area. The 14.57 inch small suits hallways, entryways, and smaller bedrooms, while the 22.44 inch large is sized for open plan spaces and rooms with higher ceilings.
The fixture is designed to mount flat against a level ceiling. A sloped installation is not recommended, since the flush profile depends on full contact with the mounting surface.
The fixture is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box using the included bracket and hardware. Anyone comfortable replacing a ceiling fixture can handle it, and a licensed electrician is recommended for anyone who is not.
