The 39 cm dome is the one built for that, wide enough to hold its own over a table without looking undersized. The 25 cm works over a dining table only in a small room or when hung as a pair.
Two or three of the 25 cm domes spaced evenly is the usual arrangement and generally reads better than a single large fixture. A short island can take two, a longer one three.
Clear gives the crispest light and lets the dome shape carry the look. Grey mutes the output slightly and reads cooler. Amber is the most noticeable shift, warming the light toward gold and changing the feel of the room rather than just the fixture.
Roughly 76 to 91 cm above the tabletop is the standard range, which clears sightlines across the table while keeping the light usefully close.
The frosted and translucent mix diffuses the light so there is no hard bright point visible from below, which is the main reason a dome suits a dining position.
