The Single Pad charges one device and is rated up to 30W. The Dual Pad has two 20W charging surfaces, rated up to 40W total, so two devices can charge at the same time.
The 30W and 40W figures are the station's rated output. Each phone accepts its own maximum wireless charging speed, so actual speed depends on the phone model and the wall adapter used.
Most thin cases work fine. Thick cases, metal plates, magnetic mounts, or cards stored in the case can block or slow charging and should be removed.
