A vibration sensor inside each cap detects the wheel turning and switches the light on. It goes off on its own shortly after the wheel comes to rest, so there is no switch to operate.
They fit standard Schrader valve stems, which is what most bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, and cars use. Bikes fitted with narrow Presta valves will not accept them without an adapter.
Unscrew the existing valve cap, pull the paper insulating tab out of the light, and screw the light onto the same stem. It takes a few seconds per wheel and needs no tools.
No. They are a decorative wheel accessory. Front and rear lights are still required for riding after dark in most places, and these are not a substitute for them.
Yes. Three AG10 button cells come installed in each light. The paper tab keeps them from draining in transit and pulls out at setup.
No. The light screws onto the valve stem exactly where the original cap sits and does not touch the valve itself, so tire pressure and inflation are unaffected.
Yes. They unscrew the same way they went on, and the original caps go straight back with nothing left behind on the stem.
