This pillow is pretty fantastic, I gotta say. I originally got it in hopes that it might work to elevate my legs and ease some hip pain but so far all I've done is sleep on it face up instead of my regular pillow. On my back it feels like I'm laying on a slightly elevated lounge chair. I have also used it on my stomach and the hole is perfectly positioned so my face isn't buried. Honestly surprised at how versatile it is. The material is soft and doesn't make you overheat which was my main worry. Really happy with this one.
Got this for my wife after her retinal surgery and she needed to be flat on her face for 7 days. She said it was the only thing that made it bearable. The two sided fabric is a nice touch. one side cooler, one side softer. She alternated depending on how she felt. Solid build, didn't flatten out even after a week of constant use.
This is a solid and versatile pillow and it's very large which is great! It's fantastic for face-down use, works well on your back, and is decent for side sleeping if you place your arm through the top hole, it adds a surprising level of comfort that way. I primarily got it for the face-down aspect but have found myself reaching for it in all kinds of positions. Well worth the price.
This pillow saved me from going absolutely crazy! I had eye surgery and had to be flat on my face for 7 days. I had rented a ridiculously expensive chair that was recommended to me by my doctor. The chair was extremely uncomfortable and had a lot of parts that needed to be adjusted. I had to have someone help me get in and out of it. This pillow let me sleep in my own bed comfortably and I could get up on my own. Wish I had found it sooner. Highly recommend to anyone facing post-op face-down recovery.

We got this pillow for relaxing on our stomachs and for back massages, and this thing is great! It's comfortable and the material is really nice. There's two options for what material you want against you, a silky side and a velvety side. You can remove the wedge or put it on either side. We prefer the velvety side for sleeping and the silky side when it gets warm. Great purchase overall.

I was the lucky winner of a retinal detachment this year, which included a vitrectomy where I needed to be face down for 7 days. This pillow helped me get some sleep and change up positions. I used it as a wedge to stay on my side after I was able to be face-up again during recovery until the gas bubble fully cleared. Genuinely could not have gotten through the recovery without it.
I got this pillow to use for alternate sleeping positions and massage. Overall this is a really nicely designed pillow that is pretty comfortable and will hopefully be durable over time. I appreciate that the extra elevation insert can be used or removed. Personally I think it's beneficial because the added height takes pressure off my chest when lying flat. The fabric is soft and doesn't smell at all out of the box which is always a plus.

After my eye surgery I needed a special pillow to support my face down while sleeping. It feels very comfortable and easy to breathe through. My husband is nice enough to massage the knots out of my neck and shoulders, but it defeats the purpose when my stiff tight neck is wrenched to the side and the side of my face is smashed into the mattress. He's been holding out for a massage table, but they are out of our price range. This pillow is the next best thing. I got this for massages at home and we love it. I like how it has the wedge portion that you can detach if you want to, to choose the appropriate and comfortable height level or amount of slant. It came in a vacuum sealed bag and fluffed up immediately. It's extremely comfortable and very portable — I've taken it to use on the floor when I want to watch something on my phone lying down.
When I go get massages, I always ask for a chest pillow — the ones that will not squish your chest when laying face-down. This pillow isn't exactly like those, but it functions pretty much the same. I can lay flat on my stomach without feeling like a couple of boulders are trying to enter my chest. The smooth side feels really nice against skin and the opening is well positioned. Comfortable enough that I fall asleep in it.

This pillow helped me to recover quicker from lower back pain. Lying on my stomach was much easier. I was able to rest comfortably with my face down instead of turning my head to the side on a regular pillow. The opening gives just enough room to breathe naturally without any strain on the neck.

I love everything about it, except the fact that it was ripped on the second day I had it. The scene completely just came apart. But it is super comfortable. If the pillowcase would have not ripped it seems very durable and I love the fact that it has two sides. I'm debating if I should get it again.
This is a comfortable pillow for those times when you need to sleep face-down for whatever reason. I also used it as a massage pillow — my wife is a licensed massage therapist and it worked great as an alternative to using her professional massage table. Clients who come to the house have been impressed by it too.
I believe this works great for after surgery. Or if you just want to use it for other ideas as in sleeping. You can't beat the price. Very good quality I believe. It does serve the purpose. You just have to use common sense when using it.

If you are having retina surgery and need to keep your face down, this item is much better than the rental unit, which was metal to place between the mattress and box springs, but consisted of only a piece of foam which was very thin. If you can use this one and don't rent one from a national company, do yourself a favor and get this instead. It was so much more comfortable and I actually got some sleep during recovery.
I like that this has a satin side and a velvet side. It is very comfortable to lay face down and provides a lot of cushion. There is an extra pillow thing to raise it up higher. With the cushion I found it was too high and ended up hurting my back since I have a soft bed. Without it I sleep comfortably and my neck doesn't strain at all. Good product overall, just take the insert out if your bed is on the softer side.
Pillow nice but satin side seams not stitched. Two openings. Can't return pillow because I'm recovering from surgery and need it immediately. I'll have to repair myself.
This worked perfectly for my mother's retina surgery. My mother is 82 yrs old and had never slept on her stomach, but with her 2nd retina surgery she needed to remain on her stomach for 10 days. My mom said it was much more comfortable than just the face pillow I had previously purchased. The one prior was very firm and she felt like she was hovering over a hole rather than being supported. This one cradled her face much better.
No funny smells. Soft cover on the gray side. Comfortable foam fill. If you are buying this for eye surgery recovery you should get it early and practice sleeping on it before surgery. It took me 3 nights before I could fall asleep easily. Plenty of airflow. The opening is a little small for my frame and it put pressure on the sides of my face, but overall still a solid product for the price.
So this is a really sturdy pillow with a pretty silver grey cover. I got it as a wedge to prop myself up with for support which is nice. It is a bit bulky and I don't think it will wash well in many home washers and may need a commercial wash. Otherwise it's a good pillow, but the face hole is thick and narrow so if you have a wider face you might feel some pressure on the sides. Still works well for what it's designed to do.
I used this after a vitrectomy. It is fairly comfortable but you are going to need to put it on top of something with airflow so you can breathe. I used a tall dog crate and that worked for me.
