At 300 W this is deliberately a low draw appliance, which is what lets it run on hotel and office circuits. A full 15 oz to a rolling boil takes several minutes rather than the under two minutes of a 1500 W countertop kettle. Smaller amounts and the lower temperature settings are faster.

It is a 120 V unit with a US plug, which covers the United States and Canada. It is not a dual voltage model and should not be run on a 220 V to 240 V supply, even with a plug adapter.
